2016 Student Recital

Danny Infantino has accumulated many years of experience teaching music. He has served as professor of music theory, history, and classical guitar as well as director of guitar and string ensembles for over 20 years. Now retired from the collegiate realm, he currently teaches privately out of his home in Pinehurst, NC. He has taught both children and adults of all skill levels and has earned glowing testimonials from many students and parents.

Apart from guitar, Danny also offers lessons for ukelele, banjo, mandolin, bass guitar, vocal coaching and more.

His students have included:

  • Abigail Dowd - Singer/guitarist. Former Executive Director for Weymouth Center for the Arts. Performs regularly in Southern Pines, Pinehurst and Greensboro, NC .

  • Thomas Banks - a recent graduate with a BA in Music from Vanderbilt University.

  • Charles Trotter - BA in Music from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. Currently teaches and performs music in Charlotte, NC.

When I decided to learn guitar, I asked several other local instructors and guitarists about learning classical guitar. Danny Infantino is the only one who the other instructors named as THE man to go to. Danny is educated, erudite, personable, patient, extremely talented and a natural teacher. He is able to connect with students of all ages, abilities and interests, whether the study is classical, rock, pop or country; acoustic or electric. He also teaches ukulele! He brings the breadth of his experience and love of music and the instrument to bear with every lesson. Danny teaches from his home music room and has a recording studio onsite, as well. Lessons are on time, relevant, casual but structured. I believe even the most desultory student will progress despite themselves. The cost of lessons with Danny is no more than any other, much less experienced and talented, instructors charge. Do not hesitate to call Danny Infantino to guide your journey with your guitar.
