Seren Lyerly, a Sandhills area native, began studying violin with her elementary school orchestra at age nine. Over the following years, she developed a passionate, self-motivated dedication to the instrument, performing in All-County and All-State Orchestra competitions throughout middle and high school. In 2004 at 13 years old she received the Barnes-Travis Arts Scholarship from the Arts Council of Moore County. She was a member of the Moore Philharmonic Orchestra throughout high school and college. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Sandhills Community College in 2010, earning a degree in Fine Arts in Music, and has since developed a varied repertoire in Celtic, Jazz standards, and more genres. She has performed at dozens on venues throughout North and South Carolina accompanying guitarist Danny Infantino. She is currently available for booking as a soloist as well as with Danny.
